Class 1 Medical Validity Periods

| 17-39 | 12 months |
| 40-59 | 6-12 months* |
| 60 plus | 6 months |
*6 monthly for single pilot commercial operations.
Class 2 Medical Validity Periods

| 37-39 | to 42nd birthday |
| 40-50 | 24 months |
| 50 plus | 12 months |
*your certificate will be annotated "not to fly solo before 16th birthday" if issued before age 16.

Dr Steve Lim
Dr Stephen Lim qualified from Birmingham University Medical School in 1977 and obtained his Private Pilot´s Licence in the same year. After commencing General Practice, he became a Flight Instructor specialising in aerobatics and gained his CPL while also gaining appointment as a CAA Authorised Medical Examiner for Private Pilots.
His extensive flying qualifications came to the attention of the Head of Aeromedical Certification (Dr Ron Pearson) in 1988 leading to approval for Class 1 (professional pilot) medical examinations. He has since steadily increased his AME practice until it is now one of the largest in the region.
While continuing his General Practice and expanding into acupuncture and neuro linguistic programming for relaxation purposes, Steve extended his flying experience on a Cessna Citation executive jet, a T67M and a Yak 52. Since starting ASM Consulting with Ron Pearson in 1999, he has now moved full time into aeromedical activities and alternative therapies involving Bio-energetics and Psychoneuroimmunology.
